Meme Monday: I Want It Now

As millennials, instant gratification is a lifestyle. All we ever want is right now. Which if you think about it, will pass you by while you're looking for it.

“Instant gratification is the desire to experience pleasure or fulfillment without delay or deferment. Basically, it's when you want it; and you want it now.”

Everything has to be right now and unfortunately, we end up including our careers and relationships in this mess. We want to be CEO’s and entrepreneurs NOW. We want our friends or partners to come see us NOW. We want to eat NOW. Anyone else out there feel a little behind? Like they should be in one place but they are in another? Like if you focused some more, you’d be more successful at your attempts as moving a lot your career? I know I am not alone in this because it is actually natural how violent we are to ourselves when we don’t look like or get what we want. And I used violently because sometimes, we hear ourselves being mean to ourselves and we don’t stop it, even with all of the power to.

LET’S STOP THAT NOW. Everything comes in due time. When you are truly ready for your big break, it’ll come on its own. Your success, true happiness, a boyfriend, a wife, a child, more money, a house, health, mental stability, a real gym routine, the big job, a good friend, sex, travel, more followers... I really mean EVERYTHING will come in its own time. You are good enough and you DO deserve everything you want. YOU’RE A GEM so chill the fuck out.
