The Orchid Show: Thailand

On Thursday evening, I attended a private viewing for The Orchid Show: Thailand at the New York Botanical Garden in The Bronx. It was fantastic! They are celebrating the 15th orchid show with an homage to the wealth of orchids and rich cultural history of Thailand. All kinds of orchids in all kinds of shapes and sizes surrounded us as we walked through, wine in one hand, cheese in the other. Some orchids were yellow, others rosy, some white with black, some were sitting on an elephant shaped plant while others hung over our heads. The colors of these orchids were breathtaking especially juxtaposed with one another.

I had an idea color being the most impactful for this exhibition, so I decided to blend in by wearing COLOR. This is my favorite shirt dress right now which is by Marni. The material is tough like denim but the pattern sweet like candy. Since it is not that warm just yet I wore the shirt dress and a shirt and paired it with my embroidered red pants from Zara and my patent leather baby blue shoes also from Zara.

I took some photos throughout the show to share with you but just know THESE DO THEM NO JUSTICE:

The show is open until April 9th and tickets are $20 on weekdays, $25 on weekends and $18 with a student ID. When you plan your trip plan to be glam because you're going to want ALL THE PHOTOS.
