It is our fourth day in Tuscany and we just experienced the best restaurant in Europe: Osteria Francescana.

While in Italy, we were living in an apartment in the center of Florence and had reservations for lunch in Modena, a small city one hour north which houses Europe's best restaurant right now and the world's 2nd: Osteria Francescana by chef/owner Massimo Bottura. I'll take you through it.

If you are one of those people that prefers dessert before dinner, who am I to change you? Let's start with dessert first:

Osteria Francescana seats 6 tables for 2-4 people twice a day which means it is super exclusive and reservations are suggested 12-16 months before you plan to visit. You might have caught a glimpse of the perfection that is this place on the first episode of the first season of Chef's Table on Netflix. If not, go watch it, preferably on a weekday after a long day of work, a hot bath and some healthy and light dinner in your belly because the episode is almost as delectable. They have a menu a la carte and two tasting menus of about 7-9 dishes. We ordered the "TUTTO" tasting menu. It means "everything" in Italian. We also had the wine paring because, well, we are in Italy at the best restaurant in Europe so why the hell not. SEE THIS MADNESS FOR YOURSELF:

The decor was to die for. The restaurant has an overall blue aura, it is quiet, every table is spaced out enough to block out your neighbor's conversations. There is carpet everywhere, individual small tables for purse, phones and glasses, pristine service, servers and A1 tableware. I personally dislike small tables weather it is dinner for 1 or 6. The tables were big enough for inner comfort, a lot natural light, alarming yet calming art... you name it, I felt it.

Of course I had to dress the part so I went with this Prabal Gurung soft pink tea length, bell-sleeved, v-neck AMAZINGNESS of a dress.

P.S - there was a moment when all of over friends (the families occupying the 4 tables around us) wrapped up and cleared the room so naturally, I jumped up out of my seat and started dancing.

P.P.S - Blame the wine pairing for this expression.
