James Beard's Chefs & Champagne

This weekend we went to East Hampton to attend the James Beard Chefs & Champagne event, a seasonal tasting from over 35 chefs, complemented with flowing Champagne and wines. The event was held outdoors and featured a beautiful horse by the name of Sam along with Foie Gras macaroons, mini tacos, sausages, plus a lot of bite-sized meat and seafood. As I thought about my outfit for the event, all I knew for sure was that I would not be wearing any pants in an effort to be able to eat and drink as much as I wanted to without having a band around my waist. As a result, I went with this lightweight, think, high neck, loose fitting Rick Owens piece and it was perfect. Even Sam liked it! The one thing I will add is that they never mentioned that there would be grass! I wore my 1-inch heel Attico mules, and while it wasn't terrible, I could have made better shoe decisions with more information, BUT good food makes up for *almost* anything.

Side note: This is my very first Rick Owen's piece, and I have decided I need more soooooooooo
